Hera slows as he slows, keeping a few meters behind him. She doesn't move any closer when he stops, just steadies to a halt as he does. She folds her arms, watching his back until the moment he starts to turn - which is when her eyes flicker away, instead glancing out toward the lake.

She can think of things to say. But they're all sharp, much sharper than she wants to be. It's not like she hasn't noticed Kanan's discomfort around Phoenix Squadron, nor has she forgot what she'd promised him earlier. She doesn't want to be sharp. She doesn't want to hurt Kanan, not after everything -

But for the moment, she also doesn't speak. He gaze falls from the lake, to the soil near her boots, and she holds her arms tighter against her chest.
